Prayer Activities and Worship

At times such as these, a quiet moment to reflect and pray may be of comfort and support to both children and adults.  Reverend Lissa has put together these resources to help you in this:

Learning to Pray Creating a Prayer Space in Your Home

Lego Prayer Resource (all ages) Slow Fast Races Prayer Resource (KS2)

The Church of England also have a variety of resources to support Faith development and the pastoral care for children and young people as part of their 'Faith at Home' campaign:

Reverend Lissa is going to be leading weekly children's services on Facebook each Saturday afternoon, starting mid May. The link will be shared on St Michael's Heighington Facebook page and website, or can be watched live at 3.00 on St Matthew and St Luke's, Darlington Facebook page.

Oak National Academy are also hosting weekly Assemblies to give us all an opportunity to come together in Worship, thinking and talking about the wider issues affecting us all.  These are held each Thursday morning at 10am   https://www.thenational.academy/assembly.  The Assemblies are 10 minutes long and focus on a particular theme.  The first (30th April) looked at 'Hope' and included thoughts and prayer from the Archbishop of Canterbury as well as an address from Gavin Williamson, Secretary of State for Education.
